Hello, I am Robert "Bobby" McCabe the recently elected, or otherwise Shanghaied, captain of the Cedar Key Pirates in Paradise. We are a new group, having our beginnings just three months ago. When I saw your clubs web site, I was immediately drawn to it. Cedar Key and Fernandina share a unique connection in Florida history. From the late 1850s until 1932 there was a 155.5 mile rail road link between both towns. From Fernandina on the east coast to the terminus at Cedar Key, the railroad was a vital link in the early history of our state. It would be significant if your club was the first to acknowledge, and recognize ours, and symbolically re-create that connection that the railroad represented. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss a Pirate road trip to our fair island. We would be honored to host your group. It would allow us an opportunity to introduce our group to our community in true Pirate fashion. If you wish you can look us up on Facebook Cedar Key Pirates in Paradise and soon at www.cedarkeypiratesinparadise.com

While in Savannah this past weekend (Oct 9-11) my date and I met three lovely pirates. I didn''t catch their name, but from the photos it looks like Bobbie was one of them. We met her and two other guys, although they made the comment about my date and I, "what a nice big brother he is for holding your hand" we still got a kick out of them. Even realizing after the fact that I did indeed say "Ahoy" to them as we passed by them (we seemed to do that a lot). I wanted to thank them for making my day with their moods, and to say that I loved bobbie''s getup that day. And to the other guy, thanks for the beads!
