Essay Contest

The Fernandina Pirates sponsor an annual scholarship contest for all Nassau County high school seniors. Each contestant must submit a 500-word essay on the subject of pirates or pirating-past or present, complete with a table of citations or references. The winning entry will receive a minimum scholarship award of $500. Payment will be made directly to the winner's chosen school upon acceptance and must be applied to tuition and/or books.
